October is a good month. It's early into fall, and here in Florida it's the first month where there are fewer oppressively hot days. There's also a feel in the air. Andy mentioned October weather so I know I'm not making it up!
It's also great running weather!
I'm definitely grateful for this October feeling weather.

8-28-14 Dreams of Flying
The other night I dreamed I could fly. Actually, it was more like floating. It seemed odd and I looked for signs it was a dream but soon convinced myself it was real enough.
And of course I woke up eventually, but for that short time I could fly. To just be able to actually dream the impossible is one of the things that gets us thinking and on the road to transcendence. Whatever it is that dreams of flying actually mean but for now, who cares?
I am grateful that these dreams exist!

8-26-2014 Morning Sammy
Sammy stopped into my room this morning 20 minutes before my alarm went off and hopped up onto the bed. It's been a while since he's done this. I realized just now that today was national dog day (or so I heard). Sammy must have known that! Thank you Sammy, I am grateful.

8-10-14 The Storm that Passes
It looked like it was going to be a long rainy day, a day to cancel plans. But I had a feeling that if I drove towards the water it would pass. I didn't know for certain but had a feeling and had some hope. I got to the place by the water. It had just been raining there also but soon started to clear up. It had passed right over. It wasn't that bad and the sun did come out. Sometimes you get caught in the storm and have to get through it.
Sometimes it passes right over.
For that, I am grateful.

March 23, 2014 Sunsets
On any given day, one can always find one thing to be grateful for. It's important to not forget that. I'm grateful for that fact alone.
But today, specifically I'll pick sunsets, free of charge, everyday, like clockwork.
